Reducing the amount of Sub Categories per page

Hi
I'm looking to reduce the amount of sub categories per page due to loading time of the images. I can't find what to reduce in maxium values in admin. Here is the url https://www.highlineinteriors.co.uk and i'm looking to reduce the contemporary kitchens to 12 per page its currently displaying 28 but there are still more to add.
Thanks in advance
Matt
