Show handling fee in checkout step 2?

I'm lost.. I can't find a way to show the handling fee in the order totals display in step 2 of the checkout process.

The system adds the handling fee and shipping cost corectly, but presents it as a already added sum. I'd like to have it on separate lines, like:

Shipping cost: 50.00
Handling cost: 10.00

Is that doable? If so, how? :frusty:

If you want them to appear as separate lines within the order totals, then you will have to alter your shipping module coding. I can't think of any way to do this, without writing a new order_totals module, and updating every shipping module code. We have jsut completed something similar on one of our stores, and this was achieved by setting the shipping_module->handling_fee value, and then using the order_totals module to check for this value. If it was set, then the order_totals module displayed it. However, this does mean that you then need to remove the handlee_fee maths from all the shipping modules. You also need to consider the tax rates, and if you are going to use a different tax class for the handling fee, or just carry the values over from the selected shipping rate.

Yes, it put me in the direction that "It can wait until I have a system that's running".. :D

I don't see that it would be a huge problem to implement, I just have to study the code a little to get a grasp of how it's doing its work..
Pity that the functionality isn't implemented from start though.
