Restricting the days you can order

I have a client who does not want to place orders on Sunday. Is there any way I can restrict ordering that day without it being a permanent fix? for example - most holidays (if they fall on sunday) ordering must be turned back on.

You could write a function to run and test the day/dates and set the store status to be a showcase ... and on other days, set it back as a normal shop ...

How would I do that? Im very new at this.

If you look in the file:
/includes/int_includes/init_special_funcs.php

you will see where various functions are run that manage the specials, featured products and sales in SaleMaker ...

In that section, any code will run:

1 Once per session

2 Run again in the same session if the session started before midnight and was still active past midnight

You could add your function there that manages when to change the store status ...

By running it Once per session, then it is only run the first time someone comes to the site and is then run again if they are still there and pass midnight ...

This way, it is not run on every click ...
