unstyled frontpage on 'successful' install...?

Hi all-- I just installed ZenCart 1.3.8 (on Yahoo Hosting under ssl no less!) and it went well, except that the index page is unstyled. It does say installation is successful though!

Admin pages also throw a 403 Forbidden error.

My file permissions are correct, i believe, and i tried clearing cache/cookies as i read in a similar post.

Is this some simple path issue?

thank you for any help.

Perhaps a search of the forum for your hosting will give you the answer?

Re: unstyled frontpage on 'successful' install...?

Every thread here that deals with Yahoo Hosting ends with a recommendation that the poster change hosts.

It might be easier to convince the client to switch to a host which is designed for ecommerce than to try to force Zencart to work with Yahoo.

The client has other things tied up with Yahoo (including other domains), its not just hosting. Believe me I would prefer changing too.

Here are the common causes of that sort of problem. It may or may not be possible to fix on Yahoo hosting:

Re: unstyled frontpage on 'successful' install...?

Ok, thanks Doc. Im emailing Yahoo about changing the limit for AllowOverrides. Will they know what to change? The directions on the link you sent weren't clear:

Ask your hosting company to [?] all the "Limit" keyword to the AllowOverrides parameter of your domain's vhost configuration

Re: unstyled frontpage on 'successful' install...?

Well Yahoo is unable to make the AllowOverrides change, and htaccess mods are out of the question...

Am i stuck here? I know a few people have managed to get Zen Cart under Yahoo hosting w/ ssl.

Re: unstyled frontpage on 'successful' install...?

Best I can offer is to search these forums for:

**"yahoo hosting"

"yahoo! hosting"

"yahoo webhosting"

"yahoo! webhosting"**

There are several threads that might give you a place to start if you can't convince the client to change hosts.

Does Yahoo allow you to redirect to a different host?
