Site wide notification options

Is there any way to have ZC place a notification on the top of every page to notify users of system wide issues / events / problems? Something like the security warnings at the top of the page on a fresh install as a reference. I've searched the forums quite a bit and have had no luck.

The reason for this is my stinkin merchant services provider cut me off without warning last Friday. I would have placed a site wide notification stating there are errors checking out but feel free to shop. I did place the site in showcase mode with prices but got slammed with calls / emails from regulars saying what the heck is going on...

Any ideas?

Have you look at the Configuration ... Website Maintenance ...

You can add a prior to down for maintenance message, and probably use this feature for what you want ...

Ajeh...that is exactly what I wanted. I just changed the text and it did the trick. Why didn't I think of that!! :lamo:
