SitemapXML v.2

Just upgraded after removing old files and uninstall MYSQL patch but still have the old "Google XML Sitemap" entry in Admin->Configuration. I must have missed an old file or entry somewhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW upgrade is working fine.

Thanks

Re: SitemapXML v.2

OK, found a lot of entries from my old install of Google Sitemap in my zen_configuration table and one in my zen_configuration_group table. It seems to me those should be deleted. The uninstall patch did not delete them. Should I just delete those rows in those two tables? Of course I have a backup!

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Hello,

I am having the same issue as previous posters in this thread, but I have found no answer in this thread or by googling it.

I'm using ZC 1.3.8 with Ultimate SEO + SitemapXML v 2.1.0 30.04.2009.

My sitemaps are not being generated with friendly URL's, as you can see at http://mineralz.biz/sitemapproducts.xml

Thus, google refuses to accept the redirected links and does not index my site.

Any ideas where to look at or what to fix ?

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Using 1.38A

Having a sudden problem with sitemaps.

Before mysite/sitemapproducts.xml showed products in all 3 languages that I use, so 3x400=1200 products on 1 sitemap.
Now it shows only products in default language and 2 languages are gone, so 400 products.
Toggling languages in admin does not help.

How to get my other languages back?
(Using SSU, but updating does not seem to differ)

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks,
Ronald

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I hae installed the mod on my computer and everyting went well - then I installed online and at the point of tools sitemap- I get a 404 error - so I double checked the placement of the files and the only ones I really did not know the path for is the xml files that are not in a folder so I put them inthe root directory.

https://www.stitchnframeonline.com

I have read about half of this thread so far - could someone point or suggest what I could have done? could permissions be a problem?
TIA

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I found it - a 404 error is that something is missinstalled - I had checked it twice but this morning lo and behold I had missed the file in the admin folder.

For those who are just starting - read this entire thread i am at 20 and have applied the patches up to this point but need to go back and find the solution to the Curl error -

cURL Error: Error http_code "403" reading "http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stitchnframeonline.com%2Fsitemapindex.xml"

I have added the ping url to my config but this is what I get is this ok or is something wrong?
Ping MSN

i added the corrected site that was posted somewhere on 15 0r16.

ideas?

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Do a search in this thread (versus a forum search) for "curl Yahoo" there are several posts which cover this.. (Dunno which page they are on off the top of my head..) HTH

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Sorry for bumping my question up again, but are there any ideas for where to look at to fix the sitemap links to represent ultimate SEO url's ?

Got it, for those who run into the same problem:
check the settings, got mine to work again with this:

Compress XML File false
Lastmod tag format full
Use Existing Files false
Generate language_id for default language true

Re: SitemapXML v.2

It's called the "readme" file.. EVERY mod has one (some better written than others) this one has a pretty straight forward one.. Suggest you give it a go..

frontier2002:

Back up your store before you install and you can simply rollback if it all goes to hell in a handbasket.. Use Winmerge or Beyond Compare to merge any overwritten core files..

This is a very easy install with no core files changed. There is 1 sql patch. I have installed it on 2 sites now.

If your considering a need for this mod then I would recommend it.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I would like to move the sitemap.xml files from the root directory into a subdirectory. Can someone please tell me which files and line of code holds the path to these files.

Thank you
