Re: SitemapXML v.2

I have a custom name for my ADMIN FOLDER and renamed the Admin folder in this add-on to match that name.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Serious,
Please post back how many modules you have installed before this module..

You have to use winmerge to munge .php files that touch each other..

Re: SitemapXML v.2

yep, saw those, did that....

Still not working.

Will running the uninstall.sql remove this add-on or will I still need to manually remove the files?

countrycharm,
Thank You for helping me out...I really appreciate it.

Crap...still not right.

I went back ththrough all the folders and made sure that I copied the contents to the correct folders.

Copied the cgi-bin folder to my Public_HTML folder

Renamed the Admin folder to match the name of my admin folder.
Copied all of the remaing files to my Public_HTLM folder.
Copied the contents of the Install.SQL file to Admin>Tools>Install SQL Patches and clicked "Send" then got a message on top of the admin page that said "22 Statements Processed."

Back to Admin>Configuration> Sitemap XML and changed Use Existing files from "True" to False". I didn't change anything else at this point.

Back to Admin>Tools>SitemapXML> and all I get is this:
TEXT_SITEMAPXML_OVERVIEW_HEAD TEXT_SITEMAPXML_OVERVIEW_TEXT TEXT_SITEMAPXML_INSTRUCTIONS_HEAD TEXT_SITEMAPXML_INSTRUCTIONS_STEP1 TEXT_SITEMAPXML_INSTRUCTIONS_STEP2
TEXT_SITEMAPXML_LOGIN_HEAD
TEXT_SITEMAPXML_LOGIN

You didn't upload the sitemapxml in admin/includes/languages/english that is the reason for the error. Check to make sure it uploaded with the correct size kb's which is 2.89kb

Re: SitemapXML v.2

technologynow:

Using Zen Cart 1.3.9h.

Having read the readme file I installed this module and admin/configured it. Then went to admin/tools and :cry:found there was no reference there to sitemap.

Have read all 62 pages of this forum and found several other people have had the same problem without a solution. Re-checked, and then checked again, that all my files were in the right place.

Google is telling me my sitemap is blank.

Given up. It should be far more straight forward than this. Have now deleted the module.

Pitty!

It might help if you provided some details on HOW you installed SitemapXML.. it's not enough to know that you "copied the files over and ran the SQL"
The read me text file that come with SitemapXML is self explanatory. People just has to slow down and read How To Install This Module. If you can not install it, you can always pay someone to install it for you. With that said It's not the module creators fought it want install itself.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Deleted all of the files and started fresh. Seems one or more was corrupted.

Finaly got the Admin>Tools>SitemapXML to display properly.

So I tried using the Google link to log into my google (Webmaster?) account and get a 404 error.

I can open another window and login just fine and dandy though.

When I click on the [HERE] link, nothing happens. Should I given a link to the new sitemap?

Regarding step #2, I'll have to ask my host if they require a curl proxy. Currently the curl status (Admin>Config>MyStore) is set to FALSE.

Lastly, I've been told to set the parameters in Admin>Config>Sitemap XML....Sooooooooooooooo

Ummmmmm

Welllll........

I'm clueless yet again.

Wanna point me toward some light reading so I can school myself on what parameters need to me massaged?

When I click on the [HERE] link, nothing happens. Should I given a link to the new sitemap? You mean when you click on HERE a popup window does not show. If it does Go to Admin->Configuration->Google Sitemap Configuration and setup all parameters making sure you set the Use Existing Files to false.
> Regarding step #2, I'll have to ask my host if they require a curl proxy. Currently the curl status (Admin>Config>MyStore) is set to FALSE. I would ask your host for the cURL Proxy Address just to be on the safe side to see if it makes any difference. I have mine set to false also. Who is your host?
Lastly, I've been told to set the parameters in Admin>Config>Sitemap XML....Sooooooooooooooo
This is what mine is set to
Compress XML File - false
Lastmod tag format - date
Use Existing Files - false
Generate language_id for default language - false
Products changefreq - daily
Category changefreq - weekly
Reviews changefreq - yearly
EZPages changefreq - monthly
Testimonials changefreq - daily

You are very welcome.

How about explaining what you did to get it to work so if someone else has the same problem they will know what to try.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Hi everybody.
Thanks for this great mod. But I have just one problem with it. It has to do with reviews sitemap. It seems many of the URL's return a 302 redirect in the header response like this and Google is complaining:

HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Sun, 01 May 2011 00:55:57 GMT Server: Apache mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.15 Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0 Pragma: no-cache Set-Cookie: zenid=8436519d572c7ddb18286ab5ba745839; path=/; domain=.www.angiejolee.com; HttpOnly Location: http://www.angiejolee.com/index.php?main_page=product_reviews&products_id=1262&reviews_id=318&zenid=8436519d572c7ddb18286ab5ba745839 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

I have no 302 redirects in my htaccess file only 301's.
I see a zenid in the url. could that be it?
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I've come across a strange problem after using this plugin on a new site (although I've installed it on multiple sites before).

I'm using 1.3.9h; the install is pretty well customized but nothing that I think would affect this plugin.

Problem: sitemap xml is properly creating the sitemaps, however, after I generate them within tools>sitemap xml>step 1, it shows the generated sitemaps. When I click on the sitemaps they are completely blank in the browser, but if I view the source I can see that the sitemap has in fact been created (the urls's are all listed properly)

Some things I've already taken into consideration, based on reading through this thread:

-I renamed my admin folder, and ensured that the uploaded folder matches
-I renamed the template_default folder to match my custom template
-I changed the CHMOD permissions of the xml files to 777
-I've double checked that all the files that were to be uploaded have in fact been placed on the webserver

I'm at a loss as to what I should be doing next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

In the file structure after you zip the modules you will see this:

admin
cgi-bin
includes
install.sql
and 6 .xml files

The highlighted admin above you have to rename to the name that you used for your_admin_name
Then upload....
