Andrew! Thanks for the upgrade and it's nice to see some newly added features as well. I am wondering, how do I go about upgrading the database? Do I uninstall my current version first or is your new process able to handle the necessary database upgrade for those of us already using the older version?

It appears that the database sql is now included in /admin/sitemapxml.php instead of previous versions that includes install and unstall sql file separately.

Thanks!

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I installed sitemapXML and uploaded the resulting sitemap file to webmasters. There is still no search in google or any other of my site.

I used to use Opencart and thats the only thing in google. Is there a way to tell google to erase the cache of the old site layout as I have my zencart one?

Or am I not understanding the concept of how to use this app. As am I suppose to make certain files 777. right now they are all 644 for files and 755 for folders going by the ZC tutorials.

thanks

edit: And to add I have 1.3.8a and have nothing in my robots.txt so it has no restrictions on what to crawl.

You seem to be confusing a lot of different things.

Google's SERPs will update slowly. You can't force them to drop any pages. They do not change instantly when old pages disappear, or when new ones appear. Submitting your sitemaps will help the process, but still expect it to take a few days to a month.

If you are not re-directing your old pages to your new ones, you will lose all your rankings and traffic.

I'd recommend following: http://corz.org/serv/tricks/htaccess2.php

Hi all,
Version 3.0.2 is available for download - http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=544 .

Thanks Andrew for this upgrade! I installed Version 3.0.2 and everything went well as expected except for the sitemap generation. When the sitemapmanufacturers.xml is generated it's only showing 434 manufacturers even though we have more than 3,000+ I am not sure how to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks!

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Hi,

I've installed site map version 2-1-0... in the sitemapcategories.xml file I can see URL entries such as

http://gpakistan.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=24_38&language=en
http://gpakistan.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_15&language=en
ans so on

when I tried to submit a sitemap through Google webmaster tool I got following error message:

Paths don't match
We've detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that includes the www prefix (for instance, http://www.example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap don't use the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/myfile.htm).

Please advice

Re: SitemapXML v.2

The error that Google has given you explains the problem very clearly. Just submit the sitemap using the right URL format.

Very strange. I even can not be assumed in what could be the problem. :( There's so simple that there is nothing to break.

If possible, I could see and solve the problem on this site.
Of course to do that I need ftp access.

I guess another question is in generating manufacturer is the query limited by product type? I know that music product type usually doesn't have manufacturer (but we actually populated our manufacturer field for the music product type (for a functionality that we needed on our site a while back). If the query is based on product type, that might explain the issue I am having.

If this is not the case I can email you a temporary ftp access for troubleshooting purpose but I will need you to email me your IP address since our server access is restricted by IP address.

Thanks!

No. I take ALL manufacturers from the tables:

    $manufacturers = $db->Execute("SELECT m.manufacturers_id, GREATEST(m.date_added, IFNULL(m.last_modified, '0001-01-01 00:00:00')) AS last_date, mi.languages_id
                              FROM " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m
                                LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS_INFO . " mi ON (mi.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id)
                              WHERE mi.languages_id IN (" . $zen_SiteMapXML->getLanguagesIDs() . ") " .
                              (SITEMAPXML_MANUFACTURERS_ORDERBY != '' ? "ORDER BY " . SITEMAPXML_MANUFACTURERS_ORDERBY : ''));

By the way, what value have SITEMAPXML_MANUFACTURERS_ORDERBY ?

Have you check /cache/myDEBUG-*.log files?

I have dynamic IP's and use DynDns.com service for it.

The SITEMAPXML_MANUFACTURERS_ORDERBY is **last_date DESC**

No error in the log at the moment.

Then there is only one way - debug on the site.
