SitemapXML v.2

Hi,

marcelo63:

Now I have a blank page when I choose the 3 parameters

Force rebuild all sitemap*.xml files!
Output file sitemapindex.xml
Pinging Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com and bing.
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1089470&postcount=843

Dont choose the 3 parameters, try to choose the 2 parameters
Force rebuild all sitemap*.xml files!
Pinging Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com and bing.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I am a bit confused. When installing this latest version of sitemaps on 1.3.9h, what are you supposed to do and not do?

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I tried installing this add on and noticed some files gets copied to include->templates->templates_default.

Should I rename the templates_default to my add on template that I am using? (Pure_orange_free) or copy the files to folder templates_default?

Thanks for your help.

Copy them to include->templates->Pure_orange_free template. The folder (templates_default) is always the template you are using.

NO
Upgrade:

  1. BACK UP your database & store.
  2. Unzip the SitemapXML package to your local hard drive, retaining the folder structure.
  3. Rename the "admin" folder in the "sitemapXML" folder to match the name of your custom folder you are using for your admin folder sitemapXML/admin/.
Make sure you change the name of includes/templates/template_default to the name of your custom folder you are using once again before uploading.
  4. Upload the files from "sitemapXML" to the root of your store. (DO NOT upload the "sitemapXML" folder, just the CONTENTS of this folder
(copy ALL of the add-on files to your store!! Most issues are caused by store owners who decide to NOT load ALL of the module files)
  5. Go to Admin -> Tools -> XML Sitemap and click "Update SitemapXML".

IF you have upgraded to Zen-Cart 1.5.x. Run the Install SitemapXML SQL_only_for_zen-cart-1_5_0
(If you are running Zen Cart 1.3.9, SKIP THIS STEP!)

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I have a fairly large site with over over 90K products; it looks to me that sitemapproducts.xml generation is not been completed. I have tried running the script through the cron and web browser with same results. Please can someone recommend what I need to do? Thanks.

Renz:

SitemapXML V. 3 has been tested only with 1.3.9 and 1.5.0.
I have no way to verify its work in 1.3.8.
You certainly can try yourself, but if it works, then why would you upgrade?

I tested the module at the store with 60K products with no problems.
Watching error logs cache/myDEBUG- *?
May have problems when create additional files sitemapproductsNNN.xml. Create empty file sitemapproducts000.xml and set write permission.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I created sitemapproducts000.xml and sitemapproducts001.xml; it doesn't seem to have any effect. When I run from the admin (Force rebuild all sitemap*.xml files!), the error I get in is [an error occurred while processing this directive].

Also please can you give more information on the error logs? Thanks.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

I'm using Zen Cart 1.3.9h

Sitemap 2.1.0

Magic SEO URL 4

Numinix MSU Ad On

My store is bilangual, and Sitemap is only being generated in one language when option Generate Magic SEO URL is turned on (with both default language set to true and to false)

If I turn the MSU option to false, and default language to true, then it generates for both languages, but with dynamic urls.

Any insights on how to get this fixed?

I have an idea, but I can't test it because I do not have access to the store with Magic SEO URL.
If you are really interested in solving the problem, then I can try to solve it on your store. To do this I need to access ftp.

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Hi I'm using 1.3.9

Installation seem to work ok but when I pinned search engines get an error
Ping Google
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scandinavianfoodstore.com%2Fsitemapindex.xml
cURL Error: "Received HTTP code 403 from proxy after CONNECT" reading "http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scandinavianfoodstore.com%2Fsitemapindex.xml"

Installation instructions advise to modify file includes/.htaccess

I can seem to find .htaccess file in that folder

Any advise?

Thanks

Re: SitemapXML v.2

Haven't tried the latest version yet, just wondering this. for a Zen-cart 1.5 version install is it still necessary to also upload the admin/includes/boxes dir (included in the 3.1.0 14.12.2011 13:32 version release)?
