How do I get the checkout button to go to httpS//www for secure checkout

https question

I switched from oscommerce and on that store, when a user clicked on "checkout" it automatically went to the httpS//www.mydomainname.com and zencart is not doing that. How do you make it go to the secure site for checkout with the www included since that is where the cert is (https doesn't work without the www)?

I did enable the ssl in the configure.php files.

Thanks

Change the false to true> admin/includes/config

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.slenderresults.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.slenderresults.com');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.slenderresults.com');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.slenderresults.com');

// Use secure webserver for catalog module and/or admin areas?
define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');
define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'true');

Re: How do I get the checkout button to go to httpS//www for secure checkout

thank you for the quick response, I changed that but it still doesn't switch to the https when you click checkout OR when you click on create account or login.

If you go to https://www.slenderresults.com/store (oscommerse version), then add something to the cart and click checkout, or when you click my account, it auto switches to the https.

If you go to https://www.slenderresults.com/shop (zencart version), then do the same, it doesn't go to the secure server.

Is there something else I am missing?

Thanks,
Jewel

Re: How do I get the checkout button to go to httpS//www for secure checkout

May be a hosting setup problem. When you enter the site using www.####, it works until you click on a product. It then reverts and drops the www.

Entering https://www for the cart shows it's not picking up the files.

Re: How do I get the checkout button to go to httpS//www for secure checkout

No, there is no redirect.

I also thought it might be something like a hosting problem when I noticed it was going to the files without the www. but then I looked at
slenderresults.com/store (oscommerce) which is my old store and it does the same thing where all of the clicks go to the file without the www but when you click checkout, it goes to the https/www. same with "my account" - it sends the user to the secure page with https/WWW.

On slenderresults.com/shop (zencart) - it doesn't do that and I'm completely baffled!

What now???

You did make both of your configure.php files writeable before making edits?
