How to a ZenCart test server on Windows XP/Server 2003?

Survey of Interest:

This would be a "How to implement ZenCart enterprise-wide" thread I will write over time if there is enough interest.

My ZenCart development projects led me to install a testing copy of ZenCart on my company's web server. I am running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, SP2, MySQL, Apache and PHP (collectively referred to as WAMP). This can also be set up on your Windows XP or Vista desktop without having a server.

If there is any interest in explaining the process from OS install to getting ZenCart going on this server, I will detail my steps and "gotchas" for the community. I don't know how many people would have interest in this.

With my test rig, I am building a back end for accounting, purchasing, CRM, etc based on MySQL, Visual Studio .NET for the in house stuff and PHP for the web based applications. I am using thin clients throughout my company for shipping, inventory, etc which run off this server. This simplifies administration and saves electricity. I am not sure if this goes beyond the purposes of the ZenCart forum, but in my opinion it is important in an enterprise-wide PRODUCTIVE implementation of ZenCart.

If there is ANY interest, please respond and I will start posting the procedures I have successfully followed.

Tim

Hi Tim,

I'm interested to know more about using Zencart in an Enterprise situation. Maybe you can share with us on this and your real-life example of its usage.

Thks in adv.
