If we cannot collect Credit Card CVV number why they there

I have quesiton, about the payment module, I try to use offline Credit Card module. and collect the CVV number, After collecting I cannot find anywhere in the data base.

It show on the module" Collect & store the CVV number
Do you want to collect the CVV number. Note: If you do the CVV number will be stored in the database in an encoded format. Be sure to check with your merchant account provider about whether you need this information or not, as storing CVV data is often a violation of TOS."

so why we need that , and how we collect the CVV, since the Credit Card company need it. :blink:

You must login to your admin to get the CVV data, by using the Orders area. Open the order to view its details, including CVV. Then, click the "Mask CVV" link once you've processed it.
