Adding a Dropdown with Event in the Product In Category Page

I am adding new product fields and would like todo the following.

When Im adding a new product, I need a drop down box, that will reload the page based on the drop down box selection.

Basically, for one selection, I need certain fields to show up, and for another selection, I need another set of fields to show up.

I have the code down, once a product is established, as what to display, but the initial page, I would like to reload based on what the selection is.

Its kinda like using the Text Editor drop box, once you choose an option, the page reloads.

You are asking for dependent attributes and they are not available in a stock install. You will need custom code for that.

Yes. Basically, once the product in category page is loaded. I would like to be able have a drop box, that will reload the page, with one set or another set of fields.

I have since thought it thru, and another option would be to dynamically, hide and unhide, certain fields/columns, with the click of a radio button.

I lack the knowledge to program this and keep the formating consistant.
