Will shopping cart somehow hold a customer's items in it even if they leave my site or log out. I thought it would, but when I did a test, my shopping cart was empty again. Is there somewhere in the admin to turn this on?

Update:
I just figured out that it worked when I am only gone either for a short time or within the same day. It didn't work when items were in the shopping cart from the day before - they went poof. So is there a time limit that the cart holds products for the customers? If so, is there somewhere that the amount of time can be changed in the admin area?

If you login, then the cart contents will be saved.
