Shipping Cost for different weight groups - Singapore

Hi all,

New zenner here. I had been reading up on the forums and setting up my site based on instructions and help given by existing threads, but seemed to have stumbled across something I can't seem to solve.

I am at the stage of setting up shipping for my Singapore based shop, and am not sure how to configure the rates below (as well as what modules I should be using):

up to 500gram = SGD$1.50
501gram to 1000gram = SGD$2.55
1001gram to 2000gram = SGD$3.35

Also even though I changed my 3 files of "lbs" to "g", the calculation is still showing in terms of pounds (I think).

I set up my Zones Rate as:

Zone 1 Countries
SG

Zone 1 Shipping Table
250:1.00,500:1.50,1000:2.55,2000:3.35

and when I experimented with an order of 1 item with a weight of 250g, the checkout shows the shipping as:

Zone Rates
Shipping to SG (6 x 45.83g(s)) SGD $6.00

Can anyone advise me what I am doing wrong here? I am using 1.3.8a

Thank you.

Re: Shipping Cost for different weight groups - Singapore

Oh dear, silly me.

I just realised after so long why it was showing as 6 x 48.53g.

The reason for this is I forgot to change the "Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship" from the default 50 to my desired weight (I changed mine to 30,000 due to the SingPost weight of 30kg).

As a result, the weight is now calculated correctly. (Previously it was showing as 6 due to the standard 50g per pack plus tare weight.

At the same time, since now I have gotten this out of the way, I am able to set up different country zones.

However, I still have one more question. How would I enable an additional handling fee of SGD$2.24 if my customer chooses Registered Mail? I want to give them the option of choosing either normal (no handling fees) or registered (additional 2.24).

Many thanks.
