USPS scanned as accepted
USPS sais Delivery Confirmation is just that, only a Delivery Confirmation. Customers could care a less about delivery confirmation. My customers told me they want to know it was accepted at the post office. So 6 days a week I take my packages with prepaid shipping from PayPal to the post office and have them scanned as accepted. All I had to do was show up each day, stand in line and smile. When I started taking them in I expected to be told that they would not scan them. But I was prepared to fix that if needed. By using the USPS Shipping Assistant you can print a label for each package that includes the delivery confirmation number. There is no cost to print this label. Then take the packages to the post office, buy the postage at the customer counter and get free delivery confirmation (priority mail), with a scan as accepted point on the web. You can also get delivery confirmation with the first class package rate, for 19 cents.
Delivery Confirmation, good for the seller.
Scanned as Accepted, good for the buyer.
Postal carriers do not have a rule that tells them to scan the packages as accepted, so they will not.
