Maximum Order Value or Max Products

Hey all,

we've got a customer trying to checkout a very large order. However every time it clicks to confirm payement it says 'can not be authorised' its not even getting as far as trying to process the payement as there is no sign of it on our payement gateway.

So i was wondering is there a maximum amount of items or cost which could be preventing this from working? and if so how to disable this or to make it larger.

It sounds like your payment processor is limiting the size of the sale. Who do you use?

Hmm im not sure if its our payement gateway limiting it because i contacted them and our limit is massive, the cost lies well within this. But the thing is its not even getting as far to send anything to indicate 'declined by bank' or anything like that it seems like its tripping up before it gets that far.

The reason I suggested your processor is that that phrase 'can not be authorised' (or 'cannot be authorised') isn't found in my stock Zencart test site when I use the Developers Tool Kit.

Try searching for that phrase in yours to see if it's coming from Zencart.

Credit Card companies place limits on the USER's card. If the user's card is limited to $500 and the order is $1000, it's possible the card company will decline the transaction.

(edit: but you say this happens BEFORE it gets to the gateway... ?)

thanks for the responses. Unfortunatly i to can't find the words however i found somthing similar within the protx addon we have.

this was found in the protx-direct.php, however i think ill now look in these files for max and see if theres anything restricting the amount or quantity.
