Shopping Cart - update prod Qty box?

Okay, this sounds like a stupid question ...and i think i've seen/read about the setting before - but currently cannot seem to find it....

A new zen site i'm working on currently has its shopping cart displaying a prod qty number ...along with an "update" button ...but the product qty number is not an editable field - just a static number.

Is there a setting in Admin to control the cart fields' prod qty box? Can't recall where.....

Okay, i just realized that my issue stems from my products being of type music - apparently with download options.

I set these up while referencing the ZC tutorials on music products and allowing for downloads. All seemed just fine ....until i noticed the above issue with the cart display.

I have set up the products as type music.
They are priced by attributes so that users have the choice to purchase a download ....or have a cd shipped to them.

That seems to be the issue: The cart seems to assume that with an item (even if the "shipped to you" version is chosen), that the item qty should not be alterable.

Am i not configuring the product correctly ...or is there another way to approach this so that the cart will allow qty updates on the tangible product versions?

Okay, I had set "Products Quantity Box Shows:" to off in each of the products - not realizing that turning them off for the product listing also turned them off for the cart as well.
