Helping fixing a difference with Internet Explorer and Firefox?

Hello,

I am having a problem with the top bar in my shop. The top bar looks different in Firefox than it does in Internet Explorer.

Here is what it looks like in Internet Explorer:

Here is what it looks like in Firefox:

Can somebody please explain to me how I can fix the top bar so it looks like it does in Iinternet Explorer in Firefox too.

It's messed up in IE8, too. What happens when you add some padding-top to #navMainWrapper ?

I added more padding and it now looks like this in Internet explorer:

and like this in Firefox:

It seems that firefox will only show the top bar image if I have padding on.

I found that if I completely remove the padding it looks like this in Firefox:

any suggestions?
