Installing stock mod help

Just did a clean upgrade to Zen Cart 1.3.8a. My buddy wants to add a few mod's, not a programmer. I am a decent PHP / linux guy, but a little curious on the 1st mod.

They want a mod that requires a stock attribute installed already, so have it downloaded (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=310) and one of the install doc's simply says to do the following;
"Prepare the package for upload to your server by renaming the following folders to match your template name: includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE and includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE."

Well I don't see anything like that! Under include/modules I have a few folders (all look like work, not personal type names) like classic, pages, payment, etc. As for the other, includes/templates there is simply classic and template_default.

So before I go and break something, has someone already installed this mod and can help with the install.

Sounds like modifications/changes were done on this site in either the custom or template_default folders. :blink:

A custom template folder should be used so all modifications don't get removed during an upgrade or restore.

There is a pretty easy to follow article in the Tutorials/FAQ section of the forum.

I suggest you get the custom folders in place before doing any further module add ons.

If you've already set up custom template folders elsewhere, simply use the same name when uploading the mod.
