Handling fee per product?

When I setup a product.. down at the bottom is a drop
down box for a handling fee. I cant seem to find a place to
define these handling fees. I have several products that are
oversized and I need to add a fee to specific products.

Where are they defined?

I think you might be looking for Admin>Modules>Shipping Modules:

**Per Item or Per Unit **(If not installed, yet, click install).

You should find what you need.

Close but thats not it.. Thats a general shipping method.
I need a specific amount added to what fedex returns only
for specific products. I cant use flat rate shipping.

When you are editing a product there is a drop down
box at the end labeled "Handling" and the default is none
with no other options. I assume this is a spot to define a
per product handling fee but I cant find how to define it.

Hmmm. Now, you lost me. That's NOT an option in mine, when creating or editing products. What mods do you have installed?
