Sub Categories Disappeard on Product page

I had sub categories listed in the center column on a products page, Wild Steelhead Roe,
then 3 different varieties with 3 different size and price points. I think this disappeared when I got rid of category listing on the home page center column.

I cannot recall how I made these disappear.
