v1.3.7 Paypal - No Description during Checkout

Hi all, this is only a small question and something we need to answer before we switch it live.

In our test environment we turn on Paypal IPN and then when we come to the checkout payment page we are presented with the usual credit card form and then a radio button that has no description.

Does the Paypal IPN module call an image or what can I do to add a bit of text in there?

If you're using the original Zen Cart files, then the correct name for the PayPal module will be displayed automatically. However, if you've altered any of the paypal-related files in the /includes/languages/english/modules/payments/ folder, or if you've installed additional language packs that don't have proper translations of the paypal language files, then you're going to get unexpected results.

Hi there, thank you for your reply. But unfortunately that isn't the case ... its like there should be text or the Paypal logo there but nothing is displaying.

It clearly has the radio button and all data for the credit card module, and then directly underneath that module is another radio button with no description, but using it takes you through the Paypal process absolutely fine.

I have gone through the files from the current version and made sure the language files are 100% correct and nothing is missing. No other language packs are being used ... only English.

Why are you using v1.3.7 if you're setting up a new store?

v1.3.7.1 has many updates to the paypal infrastructure, and v1.3.8 has even more to both PayPal and numerous other sections of the code, including bugfixes and security fixes.

The store has been "online" for 4 years now originally using Actinic but then switching to Zen around 3 years ago.

Any ideas ?

Well, there's no point activating PayPal stuff in 1.3.7 without installing the patches for it.
I recommend installing at least v1.3.7.1 to get the fixes for known issues in v1.3.7.
