Empty Search Returns Blank Page

I found something interesting today and thought I would post it up.

I was having an issue where just clicking the search button in the search header was returning a blank screen.

I was also getting a blank screen on certain searches and then trying to sort a search.

The issue was caused by a few blank lines after my ?> end php tag in my extra_functions.php file.

(my file actually is named functions_abc.php but is in the extra_functions folder)

I deleted the blank lines and search works normal now.

Thanks for the update that you discovered removing the blank space(s) or line(s) before the starting php bracket <?php** or after the ending php bracket **?> will often fix the blank white page issue ... :smile:

I am having the same issues. I didn't have any blank lines at the end of extra_functions.php. I didn't have this issue before and now I do. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I downloaded the Debug Error Utility and found where my error was. Super neat!! Thanks!
