Patriot Template

I am in the process of getting a new template approved for download. You can view the testsite for it at:

The only thing I see that I don't care for is the background image being tiled like it is. That one little thing changes it from looking like a professional job, to looking like an novice job. But, that's just my opinion.

Other than that...................Nice job, and it will be nice to see it in the downloads section.

I tried several different ways to do that, but nothing quite worked right. In the end that is what I finished with. Maybe I will find another way down the road and make it a revision.

I took your critique to heart. I did a little research and testing and made some changes.

It took a little work to get the background image to repeat-x seamlessly but I got it.

Then I used

background-attachment:fixed;

to get the image to stand still while the page scrolls.

I think this addresses the critique.

It was fun creating for one of our divisions. Then we needed another store for another division and I felt like giving back to zencart.

I like this template very much. GREAT job. The only problem I am having, is fing the text beside the eagle to change my sales message. Where can I find it at?

If you go to the admin section of your store, select tools...Developers Took Kit.

In the first lookup field "Look-up CONSTANT or Language File defines" Type in "Your Patriotic Sales Message" without the quotes.

In the drop down menu to the right of that choose "All Language Files for ENGLISH - Catalog/Admin"

Then click "Search"

It will tell you the direct path to the file that you need to change. You should download that file via FTP to your computer, open it with a text editor such as notepad or textpad search for the text and change to what you want. Then upload the file back to the same location.

I found the solution in the FAQs. It was the in the header.php file in the /language/english/patriot folder. I am not "officially" online yet, just testing it on my computer at home right now. Thanks for the reply.

Ok, this is killing me! How can I remove the css fly out drop down menu? I've been looking for weeks now and am frustrated.:censored:

The reason why I'm asking, is that I'm using JQLightbox. Whenever a picture is clicked on, it opens fine and is in front of everything except for the drop down menu. Everything "gray's out" except for the drop down menu. I'm just looking for a work around and if it's removing the drop down menu, then so be it.

I whant to uninstall the CSS fly out menu including the PHP header menu.
Can any body help with the correct way to do it.

Any idea why the define pages editor doesn't work? When I try to edit the privacy page for instance I always get junk once I save it. Matters not if text or html all I see when the pages is refreshed is a junk mix of html and the text I entered. Even if all I do is change one word of the original. Love the theme but this is slowing me down and should be a no brainer. Any ideas?
