Populating sidebox with links

I'm new to zen cart it's been a struggle just to figure out some of the functions but i'm getting there.

I created a new sidebox which i've called "products" and i want to include links to categories which i've created.

How do i import links into the new sidebox?

Any help will be great thanks

Are you using the blank sidebox mod? If so then it lets you add html to the box contents so you can just add html links.

I thought of using html links but the links are currently displayed in the categories sidebox
can i turn off the visibility for certain links the the cat sidebox?
