Changing index page but not the rest

Up until now my shop has been the first page you get when you go to icklebits.co.uk

I'm building a new site and I want the first page to be my new site. I've moved a copy of the shop into www.icklebits.co.uk/icklebits_store.

However...after years of building up google ranking etc and people adding pages to their favourites I don't want all the paths to change.

Is there anyway, I can keep my shop in the directory its in at the moment (the main one not the icklebits_store one) but have a new front page??

So when you click on www.icklebits.co.uk it would take you to my website with a link to the shop.

In other words only the front page would be a different address?!

Oh I hope that makes sense.

create a normal index.html in your public root.

Oh wow it was that easy!!!!!!! Don't I feel a nut. One other quick question....what would be the path for my shop front then?
