Category sidebox problems

hi,

I have a small problem but its driving me mad, i hope some one can help me :)

Ok so the problem is in my categories side box each category and sub category have |_ infront of the category name and it looks terrible. I really want to remove this if possible.

Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings >
Categories Separator between the Category Name and Sub Categories.

What is the proper way to attach a hyperlink to an image in a Blank Sidebox Mod v2.0?
