Quantity Discounts-Purchase multiple products in a Category

Zen Cart 1.3.8a
Database Patch Level 1.3.8
No upgrades
No addons
Header graphic and colors are changed.

Can I offer quantity discounts if a person buys 1 each of several products in a specific category? It seems the quantity discounts apply to multiple purchases of a single product. We are setting up the cart and to add a major product section I need to address this issue.

Not by default...As you note the default applies to a product
