Category Id modifications

Hey folks I am rebuilding this site's category layout. I wonder if this is possible with zen cart. What I look to do is:

1. Have control over the category Id that is assigned when new category is created in Admin.

2.Can category Id's be used again(i.e I created "TEST" category and it was assigned 285, deleted and created again. It was then assigned ID=286, deleted and created again. It was then assigned 287)

So basically There will be a whole set of numbers I could not use. Could I perhaps delete admin records and zen cart will realize that category Id 285,286 and 287 don't exit and when a new category is created in that level call it 285.

I am sure shop owners who have large databases can find this very useful(Shorter urls)

p.s. How can I manually delete admin records if this will solve the issue, and Can this be done with products as well.

categories_id is an auto_increment-database field and so this is a normal mysql behavior (the same play with ms_access)
