Do not see shopping cart or check out process?

Version - 1.3.8a
New install
I have installed my site and have loaded products and set you the product attrivutes. etc. When I go to my site I see the products and click on them. This takes me to the product detail information that I created and shows me the price. I get the tell a friend button and the write a review button, both of which work. I also get a contact us button but no add to cart or buy now... I am sure that I have something configured incorrectly so any help would be appreciated.

Under Customer Details in the Configuration menu of Admin, make sure the Customer Shop Status is what you want. Normally set to 0

I checked Customer Details in the Configuration menu of Admin, and the Customer Shop Status is set to 0 but I still do not see a shopping cart or buy now button for any of my items listed...

Peek in the Configuration ... My Store ... and make sure that the Store Status is set to Normal ...

0= Normal Store
1= Showcase no prices
2= Showcase with prices

Thank you so much... :P That fixed the problem.... I do have an additional question. I downloaded a new tempate from the Zen-Cart site, unziped the files onto my PC and then FTP'ed them to my site into the includes directory but the original template is still in place. Can you help me understand what I need to do to activate the new template?

It is really best to start a new thread when you have a new question ... :smile:

You need to "activate" the new template in the Tools ... Template Selection ...

Then, you need to activate the sideboxes in the Tools ... Layout Boxes Controller ... hit reset to set the settings to the default settings then you can configure them from there ...
