editing colour of various text in categories box

Hi, I've worked out how to make most of the text in my category listing box on the left white but at the bottom of it 'new products' and 'all products' is still dark blue. So are all the numbers to the right of the category titles in this box. How can I make all of these things white please?

The numbers will use the basic sidebox text color, so add to your stylesheet

#categoriesContent {color: #ffffff;}

The new & all colors are controllable with

a.category-links {color: #ffffff;}

#categoriesContent {color: #ffffff;}

a.category-links {color: #ffffff;}

to the stylesheet, this makes no difference to the colour of the categories numbers. I've literally just put these into the stylesheet as above, with a space between the two just right at the end of the stylesheet. Am I missing something obivous?

I'd turn the counts off - your Categories box will look a lot less cluttered.

Tell them that this can also slow down the site... the more products, the slower the site.

That's why Kobra asked for your site - you didn't mention that you had installed a mod for Category List Box, so the standard #categoriesContent doesn't apply. You need

#categorylistboxContent {color: #ffffff;}

But I agree with stevesh - it would look better with the counts turned off (Configuration > My Store > show category counts.)

Ah ok. Well thanks so much. I will in future always make sure I include a link when I have question about my site. I agree with both of you, it looks better without. I'll tell the client it will slow the site down then and hopefully that'll persuade them not to bother with it anyway.

Incase they do want to go along with me, its an admin thing if I want to hide the category count isnt it?? Even with the mod I've used?

Just switch them of in admin CATEGORY COUNTS. I think it is in configuration>>>layout settings...

It doesn't seem to be working, I'm using a categorylisting box app that was downloaded and installed as I wanted the sub categories to be shown at all times.

When I go to admin>config>layout I can't find the setting to turn off the category count anyway but I've got a feeling it wont work anyway as when I changed the 'Categories with 0 Products Status' to 0 to turn it off, you can see that the categories on my site with 0 products are still showing the category count 0.

So does anyone know how to turn the category count off if I'm using a category listing box mod? My site is:
