Specific shipping charges per item

Is there a way when you add products to set a shipping price specifically for that item?

I'm trying to figure out how my shipping is going to work. I have shipping prices for each item and I'm not sure how the UPS setup is going to work.

Use the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module where the Product Weight (products_weight) is used as the shipping cost for the product per unit ...

Then update the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and set the Maximum Weight to 5000 and the Tares to 0:0 ...
