uploading new changed files that revert back to original format

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with this. I am trying to change my english.php file (and others) i open the file change what I want then save it on my computer. Then I use my transfer program to upload the revised php file. It goes into my directory which when I open is changed to what I want it to be. I then transfer the file via move into my custom template. when I do this it reverts back to the current way! arghh. its fustrating. I even try changing the permission levels and the name of the file but it makes no difference (plus I need the file name to stay as it is)

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Had this problem using Windows Vista with local server set up on hard drive under Program Files. Seems Vista protects any changes in files under Program Files by saving your changes to a temp file in Users. If you're set up this way, try moving your programs/files out of Program Files.

Answered in your other thread. You are capitalizing new template folder names when they need to be lowercase to match the others.
