oscommerce to zencart

i friend of my family has got a website which is used as a show room for the business he works for. This website was built a couple a years ago on oscommerce but appears to have been well modified as the oscommere reference has totally removed and its all div styled and not tables as other oscommerce site i have seen.

in the admin section there is only the config options and catalog tools and nothing else, how ever there is still the admin option but new admin only have the same options. What i have been asked was how they would make there site to be able to sell online etc but all i know is zencart from my own experence so i said i would ask to see if anyone knew.

i said i could probally rebuild there site for them in zencart... but is it possible to move all the products from OScommerce to zencart so that all the products dont have to be reentered etc???

also is the os commerce template simular to zencart?? i am going to download the style steet from there running site and try it on zencart but i not tried yet.

also i seen some thread that address move from oscommerce to zencart.

oscommerce templates are table base .. there is some similarity in stylesheet in both shopping cart but one based on table while zc based on Divs.

The osCommerce stylesheet will be basically useless except as a reference for colors, sizes, and other styling to be copied into a ZC stylesheet. There will be some random elements that will use the same stylesheet rules because the class/id names are the same.

the oscommerce there current site is useing is all divs, not a table in sight... hence i think its been modifed

Which would make it even less directly translatable into Zen Cart, unless they used ZC conventions for naming elements.
