Newbie needs some help changing a template..

Hi Everyone,

I am new to zen cart and just trying to work out how to change the template, this whole override system is confusing me a little... i uploaded my folder to the template/classic folder but nothing... do i need to upload each folder from my new theme into the classic folder for each category (module, languages etc etc)... ??

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

It depends sometimes on the template (which one are you using?), but most of the time you'll either have an 'includes' folder which contains all the folders and files, or a folder named for the template.

If it's the 'includes' folder, upload it as is to the root directory of your cart. The folders and files will fall into the right places.

If it's the template folder. upload it to includes/templates.

Thank you that makes a little more sense than what I was thinking, a lot easier as well!

I am using the Cherry Zen template - http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=689 which has the includes folder...

just uploaded it and it worked a treat, thank you heaps for your help!!

just have one last question... what file is calling for the logo.gif? had a look but couldnt find it.... just need to change the format...
