1.3.8a - Update Quantities not working in Shopping Cart

I've searched the forums for any insights into this and have not found any posts reporting an identical problem.

When I go to use the 'Update Quantities' feature in the shopping cart, it simply DOES NOT WORK. I can change the value in the input box, but when I click the actual 'Update Quantities' button, nothing happens. Have a look for yourselves...

I should also point out that the 'Show Shopping Cart - Update Cart Button Location' setting under Admin-->Configuration-->Stock is set to 3, yet the button ONLY shows below the cart. What gives?

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If you turn the update button that would be per item back on does it work? Admin> Configuration> Shopping Cart

Tried that Kim, but it does not work I'm afraid.

edit your products and check what the quantity is set to. Is it set to 1?

None of my product quantities are set to 1. In most cases I have several hundred of each item, and that's what has been entered.

Have you tried switching back to the default template? I have seen a number of templates that break this feature in weird ways.

Turns out that if I switch to the default template, the update quantities feature *does *work, but here's the REAL PROBLEM:

I switched back to my custom template, which is really just a modified version of the "Classic Contemporary Green" which resides in the 'classic' directory, and everything is GONE!!!!!!! :censored: There is absolutely nothing showing now except for my background image and the header portion.

What the hell just happened!?!?!?! Please, somebody help me figure this out. :no:

I should add that the ONLY thing I did was use the Admin-->Tools-->Template Selection feature to switch back 'n' forth between templates. Not one single thing has otherwise been modified... how on earth could that have broken EVERYthing?!

Didn't feel like waiting around for help that might not come, so I attempted to re-upload all the default template files into my 'classic' directory (minus the css and images) and make the remaining custom modifications one at a time. Almost have it back to where it was, and the update quantities feature is now working.

Anyways, I think I'm all set... sorry for the panic attack.
