Product Detail Page Missing? 500 Internal Server Error

Hello to all Zeners,

This is my 1st experience with zen cart, and I have read a lot of tutorial regarding this matter, but yet I can't find a way to solve my problem.

1 - after correctly installed zen cart, I was palying arround a little bit to see how it works, and I fugure out that product information (detail) page landed on a blank page.

I try the debug error utility, but I can't make it run.

I have searched the forums again, and follow instructions that this might be caused by tpl_product_info_display.php to be uploaded incorrectly, and I replaced it, uploading it again as suggested.

Now I guet: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

Zen Cart comes pre istalled in my server, and I installed it trough Fantastico.

I'm Portuguese, and sometimes its not easy to understand some indications.

From what I can see, you don't have any products installed.

Hi, and thanks for yr reply.

I unistalled and installed Zen Cart again.
After install i added a product, an product details was working.
After that I have installed language pack for portuguese in catalogue and admin.
NOT WORKING AGAIN!
And its not showing Internal Server Error, as you can please see in:

Could you please try to see it again now, and give any idea on how to solve this? Is it about the portuguese language pack?

Get from the Free Software Add Ons the Debug Tool ...

It looks like one of your files has space(s) or blank line(s) after the closing php bracket ... but to be sure on the error, get the Debug Tool as it will help tell you more specifically what file is causing the problem ...

I have run debug tool, and here is what is found:

[19-Jun-2009 11:25:51] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/*********/public_html/shop/includes/languages/portugues/product_info.php on line 1

but line one has the whole code, in only one line.

What can I do?

Does the site work OK in English?

If so, try copying the English version of product_info.php into the languages/portuges folder and see if you still get the error.
