Attribute Copying to include pricing associated with specific values

I have been having a lot of attribute copying problems which strike me as probably having a simple solution.

I have certain attributes that affect the price of just about every item I have. I cannot figure out how to copy over a option name to include all values (and the pricing changes associated with that particular value) to multiple products or categories or globally to all products or for that matter even another single product without having to change the pricing attributes once again.

for example: I have products made from silver and gold and a radiobutton with both options. Option name: "Metal Choice" Option Values: "Silver", "Gold". the gold option applied a factored price change. But trying to get the Option name copied to other products with the pricing change attributes doesn't come out and I have to do it manually. My goal is to be able to change just the factor in the option value when things like the price of raw materials goes up or down and apply it globally to update all products that use that option name.

What am I missing?
