Category listing box mod increasing width making wider

Hi, my site is: http://www.thegreatgiftshop.co.uk/zencart

I am using a categories listing box mod so that my sub categories are always displayed, does anyone know how I can make this box wider that my categori names can fit on one line, without spoiling the look of the homepage or without making the homepage too wide? (I don't want horizontal scrolling!)

If you're keeping your overall site width as is and your three picture rows as they are, then I'd say you can easily afford to knowck 80px off the centre width and add 40px into each left and right columns....

ah ok thankyou, the person im making the website for has just decided they dont want these columns wider now but would like spaces between each seperate category title, how would I do this? I'm quite new to css and would need a bit of help.

If you want to style the categories sidebox (whether it be adding spaces between categories, or adding colours or changing fonts (whatever))... then you should install the Categories Dressing mod.... It's just what you'll need.
