Banners Above Header

Is this possible? If so how? I can't get one to go there at all. I am wondering if some templates don't allow this.

to activate header banner . go to configuration > layout settings.
look for
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 1
specify
Wide-Banners as banner group .
make sure your banner in banner manager set to wide banner group .

if this not working for you . chances are your template is not coded correctly .

to test this . set up your banner as above , then switch to classic template . if it works there , then you have problem with your custom template . if is not working in classic either , then you have error in configuring your banner .

thanks - I am pretty sure it had to do with the template. The banner shows up elsewhere, just not in the header position. It was set up right in the store configuration for wide banners at header 1 already too just like you said. I looked in cpanel and template manager and don't have the option to switch to classic template. I am new to all this and I can't get a lot of things to work. I am starting to see that I am missing a lot of things in admin (like html) and there's many configuration problems. Hope they get an upgrade soon and maybe it'll help patch all the missing stuff up. Thanks for your help though, it's very much appreciated. Maybe I should try out a new template!

if you don't have classic template , then you didn't setup custom template and override system .
custom template dose not effect admin section . there are no HTML within zencart , either core file or admin section .

what version of zencart do you have ?
how did you install it . ? was it through your host ( fantastico ) or you uploaded all files to your server.

do you have template monster ?
