what happened to my website

oh my! I tried to visit my site tonight and it's gone......tried cpanel and admin and nothing???? any ideas

Sounds like your ISP is having problems, and your server is down.

Could have been a temporary connection problem, between where you are and the route taken to the Server.

Whenever these type 'connection' problems occur, you can do a Traceroute from your computer to see exactly where the problem is.

To run a Trace route:

• works with any version of Windows
• use Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
• type in: tracert [now type in your Domain name]
• press Enter
• sit back and watch

Each 'hop' is a connection to another Server to get from where you are, to
where the Web site is. The last three numbers "xxx ms" is the time in
milliseconds. Lower the numbers, faster you get there.

You can do a copy & paste of the results in case you need to forward it.

No matter what, you might want to touch bases with your Hosters and see if they are having problems.
