Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

Hello, I am setting up a site for http://sounddiaperservice.com/produts and he just received his first order. He got the order confirmation email telling him that the order had been made but it does not include the customers information like their street address. This will be useful to him as this is a delivery business. The customer is required to enter this info when they purchase, but he doesn't want to have to go to the site to look that up, just get it off the email on his smart phone as he is driving.

How do I set up that email to retrieve that information?

Please be specific as to the location of the PHP file that needs to be altered.

Thank you in advance for considering this issue.

Here is the email that he received, the billing address and delivery address are blank:

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

Zen Cart normally does include the billing address, and if the order is shippable, also the shipping address, in the order confirmation emails.
Something you've customized is apparently leaving address information blank.
Surely you tested the normal operation before you let the store start taking orders, right?

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

Well, ahem, I tested some things... It all seems to be working and he really didn't want a delay in business from his previous web site. I will look into settings that I may have changed. Any direction would be appreciated. I am a bit new at using Zen Cart, This being my second installation, and the first I did little more than install it for a client and let him figure it out. I learn very quickly though...

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

I'm not sure why you're getting no address details. That's very unusual.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

I haven't done a whole lot. I set up Authorize.net, I have messed with the css to change the template, I haven't added any Mods or add-ons, I have added 3 products with options...I don't know, nothing that seems out of the ordinary.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

Which Authnet module? If you're not using the AIM module, I would suggest trying it.
I'm not clear on which version of Zen Cart you've installed either.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

I've tried but cannot seem to create circumstances that cause that problem.

Is there any particular pattern you've noticed that might point to the root cause?

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

There is this:

WARNING: YOU HAVE DUPLICATE SORT ORDERS WHICH WILL RESULT IN CALCULATION ERRORS
PLEASE CORRECT THESE ISSUES NOW!I only have two payment modules activated; authorize.net (sort order 1) and check/M.O. (sort order 2). I don't know if that may be something related.

also the order status of Authorize.net is "pending". I have it set to "default". I don't know why it says that or if that has anything to do with it.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

It seems that the first two customers have both registered at the same time they purchased rather than registering ahead of time. We have not had a sale from a returning customer yet to see what would happen. I guess I could set up a one cent product and purchase it myself to see if we get the same result. I could also test Authorize.net and create a new registration as I purchase as my previous tests were with my already registered account. I am not sure what that would prove though.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

Here is something odd that may relate. When I try to set up a test account while testing Authorize.net, I get this message on a blank white screen:

1062 Duplicate entry '' for key 2
in:
[insert into phpbb_users (user_id, username, user_password, user_email, user_regdate) values ('1069', 'test1', '5a105e8b9d40e1329780d62ea2265d8a', '[email protected]', '1247633716')]
I have only used that email once for a similar test, but I deleted that account. When I hit the back button, it has me logged in as test1 but it wont let me buy anything because: > Sorry, we are not accepting payments from your region at this time. even though I know it is the right region.

I tried it again with an email address that I know I have never used and get the same thing again. > 1062 Duplicate entry '' for key 2

in:
[insert into phpbb_users (user_id, username, user_password, user_email, user_regdate) values ('1069', 'test2', 'ad0234829205b9033196ba818f7a872b', '[email protected]', '1247634537')]

I don't know if this is another symptom of the address being missing.

One other thing that I noticed was that when I got error messages as I was registering, like "you need to fill in the email space" they are in a box with a orange triangle but the text is in white on a white background. This is probably just a CSS issue, but thought id mention it as I really don't know what is causing the address issue.

I am still trying to figure out the missing address issue. I ran another test and did an error log. I see in the log that the address is not present:

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

I think I may have solved or at least fixed it. I disabled my PHPBB installation and now at least testing mode works. I have seen the "1062 Duplicate entry" problem listed in other threads, but no resolution. I figured that there had to be a correlation and their seems to be a bug in their somewhere, but since my client has decided that he does not want to deal with a BB anyway this works to solve it. We will see what happens when a real purchase comes through.

Re: Order Confirmation email missing customer address?

yes, and I also deleted all PHPBB files, although I don't know if that was necessary.
