Requirments for having a SSL Cert.

Hi guys,

I have just finished creating a shop for my friend which will be doing all online transactions via PayPal Express. My questions is, do we require a SSL Cert as we will still be storing customers info ie. name, address & phone numbers but all credit card info will be obviously be done on the secure PayPal site?

Require, no. A good idea to set your visitors' minds at ease when they input their personal info, yes.

I agree with Steve... SSL is a very good indicator to customers that you take e-commerce seriously and are committed to protecting data transfer.

Dedicated SSL is always better, and you can pick up Certificates at good prices these days.

For dedicated SSL you will need to have a dedicated IP address and your host may charge a small fee for this.
