Category Page product listings layout

I have searched and searched this forum, however there is virtually and endless number of threads and I cannot find what I am looking for.

I want my category specific product listing pages (see example from this link )

to appear like the all products listing page (see example from this link)

It baffles me why these would be designed differently.

Also, I have some syntax errors when the pages load. I know about them and will work on them at a later date.

I figured out what the syntax errors were. For some reason, now that I am using image handler 2, if I do not have an image loaded for a particular product, it creates a syntax error when using the no_picture.gif. I disabled products that have no image yet and that fixed the syntax error.

That being said, I still need help with my original problem. Anybody no how to get the product listings under a catergory to appear like product listings under all products or new products?

I have looked into that thread several times. The only problem is that that thread describes how to do the complete opposite of what I want to do. That thread describes making the all listings page look like the category listings page.

I went ahead and tried the download for the thread that was posted above. The download does not accomplish what it says that it does. And now I have even more major problems. It has extended my center column way off into the page margins and I cannot go back to the original layout for New or All or Special pages, plus the heading has all the wrong info in it.

Okay, I deleted all the added files and restored the default files that had been changed and I am back to sqauare one. I guess I am just SOL on getting this to work.
