Border around 'New Products box'

Hi,

How do I put a border around the "New Products for..." box? I've looked in the stylesheet.css and had a bit of a fiddle about but nothing I've edited seems to be to edit that box.

Also, how do I move the catagories box on the left hand side?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks :cool:

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

Try adding the following to the stylesheet.

#whatsNew{border:4px solid red;}

obviously you can change th 4px and red to suit your needs :smile:

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

Thats great. Thanks for your help. However it is not big enough, it only fits around 6 of the 9 in the box i.e. the first 2 rows.

I want to move the categories box to the left. Im sure im moved it myself before but I can remember how :unsure:

Thanks

Sorry to be brief. Must sleep!

Weird about the border. Can you post a URL and I'll have a look.

To move a sidebox is done in the admin section. Its in :

tools - layout box controller

Or something like that I am doing this off the top of my head. Its one of the first few options in tools.

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

thats IE bug .. add height to the rule that was mentioned by niccol

#whatsNew {stylesheet.css (line 22)
border:1px solid black;
height:1%;
}

That should fix it in internet explorer

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

Well Tony is absolutely right. It is a IE display issue. Attached is a screenshot of it in firefox.

Welcome to the funky world of IE display bugs. I am very surprised tony's fix did not work.

The rule should now read:

#whatsNew {
border:1px solid black;
height:1%;
}

I can't check at the moment because I am on my laptop and do not have IE installed at all.

Have a look at

http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer.html

and search around for IE display bugs

Sorry, I can't be much more help than that at the moment.

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

Hi,

Me again :D. How do I now put a border around the 'Featured products' and 'Monthly Specials For...' boxes aswell as borders around each of the images. Is this possible? or am I being too demanding?!

Thanks for your time.

Re: Border around 'New Products box'

OK.

Change the rule we did before to:

#whatsNew, #specialsDefault, #featuredProducts {
border:1px solid black;
height:1%;
}

That means that all the three <div> s should have the same border around them.

If you just want to have borders on the images in these <div> s then you need :

#whatsNew img, #specialsDefault img, #featuredProducts img {
border:1px solid black;
}
