Min. order, one Manufacturer(Winery)

On the http://NiagaraIceWineShop.com site we need to know how to restrict the shopping due to the paper work that is required to provide for the export.

1. We need a min. order of 12 bottles (case) but from one winery.

We can't have people ordering 2 bottles from one winery and some of another and some more and so-on because that creates a ton of EXTRA paperwork for each winery in the order.

Is there a way to have the cart know that if the customer is shopping from a certain Winery (manufacturer) that he/she needs to finish that order with that Winery, AND must be at least in case lots of 12 bottles.

I'm experimenting with an algorithm that uses MODULUS to ensure that the cart total is a multiple of a given number. This would be useful for retailers of wine, for example, where case-lots need to be achieved before checkout is allowed.

It works just fine all the while you have single bottles, allow mixed cases, and a pack-size of a given number... (we are currenly using 6 as the multiple on our test site, but you could change this to 12 in the admin panel.)

It's no where near ready, and I'm encountering some challenges!

First question I have is, Where is the Canadian Wines? We produce some great wines and Icewines. LOL

This looks like it might just do the trick, but is there a way to keep them buying from the same winery?

Hi Rob... interestingly, I last had Canadian wine about 20 years ago, and you won't believe where it was... At Chateau LaTour in Pauillac Bordeaux! (Won't go into why I was there, or how I came to have Canadian wine...)

Your industry needs to market itself better. There's not a drop of Canadian wine to be seen in the UK (or perhaps via a handful of specialists)...

Anyway... This cart mod is not suitable for use (yet). I'll get hold of you if I make progress.

As for the Canadian Wine situation in the UK, (or lack thereof LOL) maybe you can talk with my client that I'm doing the site for.
