New Signup Discount Coupon - by country

Hi

I have created a discount coupon to give a 10% discount on signup.

I have restricted discount coupon this to all new customers from France only - I did this when creating the coupon in admin - gift certificates/coupons - coupon admin.

I then selected this coupon for signup coupon in admin - configuration - GV coupons

BUT all customers from wherever in the world get details of this signup coupon in their welcome email!

How do I stop all other customers (non France) from receiving details of this signup coupon in their welcome emails. I had hoped that restricting it to just France when creating the coupon would have automatically only added this offer to cusomers signing up from France (those using specific 'France' drop down country name).

Am I missing something (as usual) or is this not possible?

This would need to be customized to check the restriction for the zone as that is not built into Zen Cart on the Welcome Discount Coupon ...

It can, however, be customized to do this extra check ...

Look in the module:
/includes/modules/create_account.php

The zone info is set around line 329:

    $_SESSION['customer_first_name'] = $firstname;
    $_SESSION['customer_default_address_id'] = $address_id;
    $_SESSION['customer_country_id'] = $country;
    $_SESSION['customer_zone_id'] = $zone_id;
    $_SESSION['customers_authorization'] = $customers_authorization;

The coupon is sent around line 361:

    if (NEW_SIGNUP_DISCOUNT_COUPON != '' and NEW_SIGNUP_DISCOUNT_COUPON != '0') {

you need to add the additional criteria for the zone at this point ...
