Re: Why is my search side box overlapping in Firefox??

you are using a editor that is set to UTF-8 and inserts utf BOM character into beginning of your page .

use developer tool kit to locate files effect .. for this

this is not solution to your problem . once removed , i guess would be easier to figure what is the solution to your original problem .

also turn off UTF 8 Encoding in your editor

Re: Why is my search side box overlapping in Firefox??

How are you entering the characters in DTK ?

Are you using "copy and paste" from their display on the browser?

At about line 122 in your style sheet, try removing:

margin-bottom: 10px;

from the #logo statement. That should make your search box slide over to the right.

If I misunderstand your question, sorry.

Any suggestions??

Never use anything with "microsoft" or "MS" in the name near any of your zencart files for editing purposes.

Or about line 216, add:

margin-top: 10px;

to the navcolumn styles.

Microsoft programs format stuff the "microsoft way" (MS assumes everyone in the world - and I mean everyone - only uses their stuff). When you use MS tools, they add formatting (that you can't see while you edit stuff) but when you work with sensitive code files, and background formatting will be included - therefore messing up the code.

You should always use editor programs that DO NOT format the text you are editing. Ideally, you should use an appropriate editor for an appropriate file type, so fo a .php file, you should use a PHP editor.

But this is impractical, so if you get a good PLAIN TEXT EDITOR such as notepad++, it is capable of recognising the file type and rendering the text on-screen (using text highlight techniques) appropriate to that code.

Basically, don't ever open your core files with MS programs. It will give you big headaches.
