Unable to import products

Hi - I've recently upgraded my cart to 1.38a, and everything was set up and going smoothly, orders coming in smoothly etc till I noticed an odd error during checkout. While trying to fix it the cart vanished :(

So I've done a clean install, and reloaded everything back (had just backed everything up before making changes of course) but now when I'm trying to import the sql database back in, it seems to time out just after the order history comes through - so none of my products make it through the import stage?? I'm at a loss as this has never happened before when I've imported my database before :(

The other posts I've found relate to actual error's that come up - I dont' get any erros, just seems to time out?

Ask your host to restore the DB

Update - thanks to offlise help from 'The Oracle' I was able to do a partial export from an old site to get my products showing up - normal ways of uploading the full db backup just weren't working :(

All is good now!
